Communications
Effective executive communications are one of the most important and critical aspects of governing, especially during a leadership transition. Ensuring a new leader can quickly and effectively turn campaign promises into concrete government action requires the development of a communications infrastructure that supports smooth internal and external messaging. Likewise, as a leader works to transition out of government, effective communications can support the solidification of their legacy. Internally, it is critical that an administration and its leadership are coordinated and consistent in their messaging, whereby communications leaders know their responsibilities and how to share information. Externally, it is essential for leaders to develop strategies that ensure citizens are adequately informed of their government’s efforts.
